Sonny Duron has been assisting persons with substance use challenges for over 27 years both professionally and personally. Sonny began his professional journey as a case manager in a residential treatment facility and was eventually promoted to Program Management and Development role. He eventually left residential treatment to become the founding director of a local non-profit. Sonny developed and managed a program that provided permanent, supportive housing for disabled individuals with substance use and co-occuring disorders. This experience led to a more sophisticated understanding of the importance and interplay between recovery and adequate environmental supports and structure.
Sonny eventually retired from his Program Management position to pursue a dream that has been over two decades in the making. Ogden House is much more than a home or a traditional sober living. It is the culmination of a life's work and experience of helping, learning, and always trying to find new ways to be of service.
